for the past 2 weeks, i've been talking nonstop about my cousin's humongous appetite for canada-story-telling. why not share the tales? haha!!! he left this morning and i should say, it was a meaningful stay for him and for us. i know he works really hard there and he needed this vacation so he could unwind from all the stressful stuff he deals with. and yup! we miss him somehow. =)
hehe! here we go... here are the "interesting" items i learned:
*note1: each sentence starts with "in canada" phrase hehe
*note2: each item was shared by my cuz... i don't assure that these are accurate hehe
in canada, a bus driver could ban you in his bus if you misbehaved and pissed him off. how does the driver do it? he posts your picture in the bus as a sign that you're banned haha!
in canada, a haircut costs 15 canadian dollars.
in canada, repair for pants costs 10 canadian dollars, plus 5 canadian dollars tip.
in canada, you are protected by the "good samaritan law", which states that you cannot be sued when you do something to help others. remember when daddy incredible in incredibles was incredibly sued when he tried to incredibly rescue a man committing an incredible suicide?
in canada, the difference of a college and a university is: a college does not offer minor courses, a university does.
in canada, education loan could reach 30 thou canadian dollars (this includes allowance and rent. neat, eh?).
in canada, you could cross the united states border. just show your passport and citizen id(?).
