long ny weekend

this post's a little overdue but very much detailed hehe. but just the same, let me relive the wonderful life that was for the past weekend. it's not every weekend that i get to spend time in a great place and with people i love...

friday
it was my first time to travel alone. i was a bit nervous 'cause i know i look too young to travel alone. and true indeed, i got a lot of "are you traveling alone?" questions. darn it. to hell with it haha! i just brought my passport for support document haha!

from above, i was dying to take snapshots of the vast lands of ohio and the neighboring states. i was in total awe how this big land could ever be so real. hehe no wonder they don't have beaches here. everything's just brown and green hehehe! no matter how far i extend my gaze, it's nothing but land, land, and more land. corny.

ok so the flights went well. ohio to pittsburgh and then to new york. it was pretty cold in new york. dilemma: i only brought a light jacket. i thought the weather will pretty much be like here in ohio where it's spring mode na. pde na mag flipflops. so i brought one and i also brought a capri and spag strap blouse haha! imbyerna! nde pala pede.

after a couple of attempts to contact camille, i was beginning to get nervous 'cause it was really cold, i was alone, in a foreign land. ni-try pa ko lokohin ng 2 mabait na taong sina camille and reagan. hehe... so after our besos and shrieks of excitement, we headed off to have dinner (at 11pm) in this thai resto. it's a really cool place. i thought that some restos in the phils are like that na. yung tipong gimikan and resto at the same time. kaso there were couples kissing indiscreetly and medyo mas wild ang suot ng mga tao. it was a wonderful dinner treat courtesy of papa reagan. thanks camz and reagan!!!

after dinner, we went straight to the spot where we had a clear view of the manhattan skyline. it was great! i only see this scene in movies or paintings or pictures and now, it was right before my eyes. =) with the moon shining above, it was really a spectacular view. masarap may katabi sa bench sa mga pagkakataong ito. well, kung hindi masyadong biting ang cold. it WAS REALLY COLD! so cold we couldn't get a steady hold of the camera haha. night mode pa yung cam kaya malabo, we just had to capture the lights... but the pictures are great just the same:

after the cold trip, we went to camille's apartment, caught up with lost time, chika, and then dozed off at around 430am. hehe this is why we woke up quite late the next morning...

saturday
first stop was the subway station. woohoo! it was just like our lrt pero it was really amazing how it could take you to places. o diba mag picture sa subway... woohoo!


and then to battery park, where we had to take the ferry to go around the liberty and some more spots. we could've taken the ferry that'll take you to the liberty spot but the queue's so long, it'll probably be night time by the time we had our turn hehe.

next stop was trinity church. i'm not aware that this became famous because of the movie national treasure. well, 'cause i didn't see the movie hehe. it was a very great church. ang bango amoy kahoy sa loob =)

and then to ground zero. gave me goosebumps just standing there looking beyond the wired fences... =( my cousin, ate elaine used to work at WTC and she was there when the tragedy happened. God's so good to have saved her, along with others.

after the semi-drama, headed off to china town, where there are chinese everywhere and it's simply a simulated chinatown/binondo in manila. =) this is also where we met my long-time-haven't-seen cousins from nj.

and then to the broadway show, "naked boys singing!"... oooh! hehe... tuwang-tuwa ang mga girls. geez. i've never seen that much uhhmmm guy's thing! there were 8... of varied sizes and hues haha! i think it's more entertaining than miss saigon haha pinagpalit ang miss saigon sa mga hubong lalaki. we found it very... what's the word? ewan. basta it was funny!

after the makabusog-matang performance, time to fill up our tummies again... off to jaya korean restaurant to chow once again.

and then, we went back to times square to witness the display of lights once the sun's tulog na.

we wanted to have dessert sana sa serendipity resto but the place's so packed we just had some pics... what else? better to have pics than dessert. haha the dessert i could have here, but the pics, na-uh.. hehe.

and then we decided to call it a day and headed off to joe and ate elaine's apartment for some drinks and videoke. it was also there that i met whisky. the famous camacho cat. she was kinda aloof with me. siguro kse caths ang name ko bwahaha!

and then we finally went home to irish's home. had a few chika moment with tita marie and slept na rin.

sunday
had a quick talk with tito nards (papa's only brother). heck it was a so-serious moment. i don't like moments like that. hehe! after the confession-like conversation, irish and i went to hear mass and we were late. as penance (i think), we were asked to offer the gifts haha! and the guy thought i was irish's little sister mwahaha! nakabola na naman ako!

and then there was lunch with the camacho clan and the roma clan (tito joey is my father's best friend). it was very touching how they prepped everything up for me. i mean, i guess i was the only camacho link that they've got this side of the world so they were really glad to have seen me (again). lunch was great. camille and reagan also graced the celebration (thanks).

so after the dramatic byes, ate elaine, joe, irish, and i headed off to ny once again to see some more sights: empire state, central park, st. patrick's church, there was a flowery area, and then to my final destination, the airport.

and so now, i'm back here and doing the usual stuff. it'll take me quite a long time before i could get over that coooool weekend. =) and another one's coming this weekend with michie and thecx. can't wait.

sunshine

sunny day today! it's a good sign! hope the sun maintains its cheerful attitude 'til the weekend. pero plastic ang araw dito hehe. ang lamig pa rin. when you're inside kala mo it'll be a warm day pero paglabas mo... ay parang baguio hehe... corny.

oh well... i have a ride to the airport na on friday! yahoo! after much gathering of guts and overcoming of shyness, i called todd (his house is near the airport) and asked him point-blank... "hey todd, this is caths. i'm going to nj on friday and i was wondering if i could ride with you on your way home... and maybe you could drop me off the airport. if you have other plans, that's ok. i'll find other means." haha... direct to the point! haha. i've never done that before. i mean asking favors from people na nde ko kalahi. eh malay ko ba how they'd take that hehe! paul and ree said naman that it's ok... i mean, saying things directly and if he had other plans, he wouldn't have said yes. =)

well he said ok! yahoo!!! i promised him pasalubong na lang. yey yey! pano ang pauwi ko ngayon? haha... that's 1 more dilemma i'd have to solve haha! kaya ko itu.

haven't packed my stuff for friday. but heck... it's just a weekend it's not as if i'd bring 10 pairs of stuff! hehe! well, the phone calls from my would-be-hosts are now limited, which is good 'cause we won't run out of stuff to talk about in the following 2 weekends. hehe! here i come, guys! =)

8:10 am leah, dacks, joy, and i were entering the lobby of the office. the id system works this way: the door is the rotating type yung you get step on and it rotates to let you in. kaso you need to "swipe" your id to automatically activate and rotate it.

ok pasok na ang leah, dacks, and joy. tapos ako na weee!

*beep, says the id reader. step on the door. wait a few seconds... "oops", sabi ko semi-loudly. ay ayaw bumukas... sa isip ko na lang yan hehe.

*natakot onti. pano ko papasok ngayon. try ko nga ulit. step out and swipe ulit.

*beep, the reader squeals again. step on the door ulit. and there you go! bumukas na! hehe...

the receptionist was an elderly lady who was smiling all the while, watching me. when i entered the lobby, she said, "you're not heavy enough to activate the door!" *laughs.

i laughed back and said, "gosh!" hehe... fine payat ako! sabi ko nga eh. kahit hand drier sa spi nde ako madetect eh. in fairness... mataba na ang tyan ko ah!

observations part 1

i have quite a lot but i don't have that much time. hehe. this is part 1. i hope i could do parts 2 to infinity hehe.

a couple of observations, comparisons, ekek:

mga tao

sila: super friendly. they have a smile ready for everybody... kahit strangers. would ask you how your day was... =) nice!
tayo: straight face. lalo na ko! don't expect me to smile to anybody na makakasalubong ko. unless, of course, maunang mag smile sakin... di naman ako madamot sa smile hehe.

sa restroom

sila: they don't brush their teeth after lunch.
tayo: heck! super brush! minsan kahit merienda super brush pa rin hehe

sila: ang brutal and ang bilis kumuha ng tissue sa dispenser... kakagulat. makes me all jumpy hehe.
tayo: mahinhin, mayumi, dahan-dahan, just right

sa kanila: yung sa toilet, yung binababa sa mismong bowl, may gap sa gitna... can't quite describe it. basta may gap. parang horseshoe yung shape. that's it.
sa atin: buo ito haha! oblong ang shape.

sa malls

dito: may tax (well, di ata sa lahat may tax)
sa 'tin: walang tax. what you see is what you get.

dito: pag sale, super sale! may clearance section pa na super mura talga!
sa 'tin: pag sale, joke lang kse parang you can't get to wear the items on sale plus mga P20 off lang hehe. kulit. but there are some pretty good buys din naman pag sale. di lang talga ko mahilig mamili at mag-ikot-ikot.

environment

dito: walang beach! bwahaha! i was starting to see things on the way to church. what appeared to be a body of water was actually a landscape? feeling ko may beach dito haha! the closest i've seen were some irrigation ekek or creek or man made chuvas?
sa 'tin: ay sus... woohoo! saya! super beach! super beach! beach anytime! kahit tag-ulan pede pagtyagaan hehe! can't wait to swim ulit!

that's sad... not so...

hay... reading that somehow made me sad. if i were in that same situation, i probably would've done the same thing. i understand completely. do i have a problem with that? i guess so, having been sooo used to it and knowing that it's always just there, but there's nothing i could do. it's not mine to keep... nothing ever is. everything is just a borrowed something from Him. some things come, some things go. some things aren't as good as the others though, but as with every new dilemma (dilemma's too harsh!)... but as with every new challenge (it's not a challenge!)... but as with every new mandatory event, you can't do anything about it but accept it as it is. as the prayer goes,

"God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

and i pray for that constantly =)

haha lost track of the day count. lousy. tama ba namang numberan kse ang days. ang corny. lack of interesting title?

oh well, oh well...

shopping take 10(?)
what happened last saturday? we went to shop ulit. goodness it's so mura here! ano ba itu? free land? hehe! well, didn't get that much kse may NJ pa ko sa weekend. i heard there are a couple of good stores dun, plus wala raw tax. neat, eh?

sisters(?)
after the shopping mania, we dropped by lisa camacho's house to just hang out and... uhmm... eat? videoke? hehe. i wonder? is lisa really my sister? hello?!? both our dads died on the same month and year! january 1997. we were starting to freak out when we have the same year... but the same month? hehe... the ultimate question was: what is your father's first name? hehe iba naman. so we're not sisters. we're just... ummm souls entangled in a mesh of coincidences (ano yun?? babbles itu!).

lunch + bingo!!!
sunday was pretty much a pigging out day. ree and paul (lovely lovely couple, lovely lovely hosts) and ernie -> doggie and jack -> big kitty and harry (was it harry?) -> bigger kitty invited us over for lunch. ay big slab of steak itu... plus corn and veggies. sarap! grabe! i never thought i could consume that much food! and i keep on complaining how my tummy's grown this big in just a week! haha! after the feast, we played bingo in their comfy backyard (yup comfy itu!). i won this toy... it's a... can't describe... ball that you bounce using a paddle (?). hehe. it's a toy! bingo was saya! super! with the participants getting serious to win the major prizes haha! we were wondering if they could include ernie... or the house... or the car in the we were really gulo no! after the game, we had ice cream pa plus like a pet show where ernie, jack, and harry (?) showed some tricks =) cool!

telebabad
ano ba? con call with michie, acy, thecx last night. for an hour! and then ate elaine called. we talked for almost an hour, i guess? ano ba? e kung gabi-gabi makikipagtelebabad ako sa mga taong kikitain ko dito, wala na kaming mapapag-usapan pag nagkita na kami. ayos! haha! but just the same, i love hearing from them kahit na tawa lang kami nang tawa. can't wait to see them =)

training
haha isingit ba ang training? oh well, i browsed through some training stuff... na nde ko rin naman masyadong na-absorb. kase naman... hehe.

day 8

cook/praning - wow it was my first time to cook dinner for them. sinigang na chicken and beef. hehe matabang. i was alone in the apartment for a couple of hours. i didn't join them in their shopping 'cause i cooked dinner nga. i was imaging things. what if somebody forced his way in and steal things or just kill me? nyay! what if the phone rings and a scary voice beats the hell out of me? hehe so the phone rang a couple of times and i was all jumpy and freaky hehe...

sleepy - i'm always sleepy! i don't think this has something to do with the time zone ekek... i could sleep pretty well at night and i can't stay awake at day. hmmm... antukin ako. that's unusual... kainis.

vacation update - camille's ready to buy those tickets woohoo! tita marie will shoulder the fare daw. more woohoo!!! talked with acy to and she might join us on the 22nd. =)

day 7

ok... i have an entire entry for my 7th day complete with time stamp. the page expired and post was gone. chuva!

ok... let me recall...

today was the 1st day of engineering training. nothing much. di talga ko bibo... hush hush lang kahit pigain hehe ayaw ko sumagot ever!

i guess everybody's crazy over papa b and his blue green eyes hehe. too bad di na sya ang trainer namin so lamang ang mga bruhang analyst bwahahaha! i was able to have a good chika with him yesterday though. syemps katabi ko sa dinner say nyo? haha. mega chika! talked about the beaches in the phils. so i was actually luring him to come over the phils haha. ano ito isda? ni-lure. syemps nichika ko rin how his wife and daughter are doing diba... i bet his daughter looks like angel. kung anong puno syang bunga diba? hehe... todo bola itu. basta i bet i earned a thousand points for that hehe.

the client treated us (again) at dave and busters. it was a pretty good bonding time for us all though it's a bit hard to jive with them siguro dahil sa cultural differences. hello mahirap makipagkwentuhan at jokan sa english no! but they're all nice naman.

ok. vacation update: boss didn't allow me to have a few days off on our way home. she said we'll be pretty busy na raw by that time so we can't afford to have absences from work... too bad. but my vacation (vaccation talga, hindi training hehe) must remain untampered. i'll head off to NJ on the 16th instead. =) woohoo! so i could still meet camille and (what's left of) the camacho clan - 5 lang sila hehe. plus michie and thecx will visit me here on the 22nd and sama na lang kme sa spi people sa tennessee. so i get to meet all my friends pa rin diba? woohoo!

this is worth posting: my mom reminded me to pray for the pope's soul. i haven't done that yet and i haven't said a thing about my sympathy for it... i'm just touched on how he has been an inspiration and how he has touched the hearts and lives of millions of people, including mine. he will forever be an inspiration =)

day 6

killing some time again. i guess i can't do this tomorrow na. the engineering training starts tomorrow so medyo busy-busyhan na yun malamang... hehe. i'm a little bit nervous 'bout it not having a good exposure in engineering work. dapat super mega attentive diva?

we went to circuit city last night, pero wala naman akong nabili. wala yung mga bilin, wala rin akong nakitang interesting for me. ended up buying a couple of make-up for my mom and titas. good buy daw yun. hehe malay ko ba, di naman ako nag me-make up. asus.

talked with camille, michie, and thecx again. finally, my plans are having good directions na. michie and thecx will probably go here to visit me na lang since my last weekend will surely be packed. i dunno maybe we could just scout some interesting places here. anything is interesting basta may kasama naman akong friends =).

tapos, i'll probably spend the weekend with the camachos in NJ and then with camille on monday and tuesday. sana ok. i heard my boss said daw na sana wala munang mag-absent when we get back to manila... i hope this is not a bad sign. i hope she'll allow me to have a few days off. i hope i could see my friends. i hope i hope i hope... =)

off to training again. =)

day 5

hmmm... days 1 to 4 are missing hehe. didn't really have much time to update my blog. now i'm in day 5. so what's up? just had lunch.

yesterday, we hads tons of food intake hehe. heavy lunch and a tabo of icecream courtesy of the client. and i thought, "we're paid to do this?" cool! hehe!

when we got home, we had another pictorial session and jogged + played basketball near our place. sus... sporty sporty daw, mamya madapa na naman ako. medyo trauma na nga ko pag tumatakbo eh =( feeling ko madadapa ako any minute. hehe. praning.

i guess i've adjusted na. i'm not THAT sleepy anymore. pero sleepy pa rin. ayan na. start na naman ng antok. heavy mata... waaah!

410pm: eeew... i have an hour to kill. training's done and we're not going home 'til 5pm. during training, we were observing the other team while they're doing their exercise. i was standing behind leah and janette and i swear, i could fall asleep nang nakatayo!!! promise! pumipikit mata ko waaah! i was imagining i'd suddenly pass out hehe.

* sometimes, i do checks and i'm not really sure what my current status is hehe. ano nga ba? ano nga ba? hmm...

Here na… first day sa office. We just had a tour of the office. Kay laki… hehe.



Somehow, I still have my days and my nights all mixed up. So evening mode ako ngayon ‘cause it’s tulugan time sa pinas. Can’t really keep my eyes open. Tapos pag gabi, I swear, super buhay ang diwa ko. Hay…



I talked with a couple of friends na: Camille and Irish. Maybe I’ll try to head off to new jersey to meet the camachos before I go home hehe… and Camille in NY. Also, michie and thecx might try to see me when I get there… di naman ako masyadong excited to see them all =)



We went to a couple of malls here to shop. =) met with some of the filipino communities. They were all kind and hospitable =).

Nice... Time to assess things. Time to think things
over, to be thankful for the blessings that came my
way, to be sorry for being rude sometimes, to be glad
for my constant checks (and being constantly checked
ü), to be contented that i live simply but happily,
to be aware that i have everything i need and love
right here with me, and to know that these are more
than enough to fully understand that i have a good and
happy life.

good friday madness

good friday. I have been everything but good. Thats
bad? We were Supposed to join the procession, like we
always did over the years, but mas sprained ankle left
us all lazy as well. We didnt wake up in time even for
the ceremony before the procession so we just watched
it pass by the house. It was solemn as always. Come
dinner time, my uncles bought another case of beer
(pale ito!) and kuya encouraged me to have a bottle.
Makisama ba. Oh well, so much for good friday.
Maki-pag toma ba sa mga mama kong uncle?! Well, at
least, i didnt have a taste of the pulutan! Meat eh! I
just consumed vcut instead. Bwahaha! Lesser evil ba
raw? Excuses! Well i guess it was sort of a
penintensya for me. It really tasted nasty! Ill never
like beer ever! The best i could do is a bottle. Not
that i cant tolerate the amats. All i feel is a little
floating feeling and a little pangit feeling sa tummy
and thats it. Ang pangit lang talga ng lasa.
Nakakasuka! Ulk!! Pero tolerable naman. Tom, were
going home na. So the kain-tulog-constant-checks
remedy has come to an end... Just right. =)

vacation mode

On our way to mindoro 553am. havent slept yet. =c so
bangag. so tired. i so wanna sleep but im trying to
set the mood first hehe. last night was a blast with
the girls. 100% utilized ang dance steps woohoo!
finally! we found the purpose of the dance steps!
hmm.. up to now, naiindak p rin ako. shoot! we are
riding this van instead of the bus. we figured itll be
more comfy here. i normally CANT sleep during travel
pero ngyn pa lang, my eyelids are signing off na!

hay... pagod na naman ako ever.

and then... tomorrow, i'm off to sail the deepest oceans (hehe oa) for my 4-day vacation in mindoro. darn it. it would've been better if the vacation started last monday... but... well, everything's fine! woohooo!!!!

sheeesh... reading that NAME definitely gave me goosebumps. did i feel sad? hmmm... i dunno.. teary-eyed. knowing that THAT is the person behind the mysterious something... behind the unanswered questions in my mind. i never thought it works that way. i never thought that it is possible. but it IS; and yet another proof of the theory that causes a lot of aches and pains. that's just the case, isn't it?

oh well... just be happy for everybody and everything. =)

ipit queen

funny how i've recently appreciated the peace i have with my family. but a moment like this: simple misunderstanding, specifically between ma and kuya, leaves me all stressed out and ipit. lagi... =( i'm not complaining... i mean, i'd love to do it all if it'll ease your pains... wala lang. ipit lang =(

ma pours it all out to me... kuya pours it all out as well. yeah, literally, i'm the middle child. i'm in the middle of every misunderstanding. i absorb every pain and sentiment, which i couldn't tell the other party... i just might give a different, worse version. imagine how it feels to be asked, "o ano sinasabi nya?". what am i supposed to say? my goodness.

i didn't see that coming. well, maybe i DID see that coming, but not THAT soon. funny... i thought it was just a regular/normal/sane afternoon.

awkward moment? hell, yes! top it all off with a heavy traffic to just make it more dragging.

busy pa kay jollibee

hay... finally some time off for myself. i've been pretty busy for the past week - with work mostly. my last post was riche's wedding pa?! gosh!

i can't believe i stayed at the office until 1am (wed) and 1130pm (thurs). grabe! i had testing tasks for 2 builds! waaah! grabe! i was so bangag na last night! at ang mga mata! dead na! hehe guhit na lang.. ang pangit.

oh well, two major events graced my life for the past week:

my long-awaited puerto trip with batchmates (along with other interesting characters)

my surprising CFM training in ohio

puerto galera = woohoo!!!

i've never heard that much woohoo in my life... well both aloud and inside-my-head-woohoos... 'cause the best way to describe the trip was simply - woohooooo!

after three years of planning, este "drawing" outings with the batch, finally the plan pushed through.

this is my, uhmmm.... 5th time to visit white beach but i don't and i won't get tired of going there. =) every experience is a blast!

cast of characters:

bitbits: justin, mike, jet (well, jet is also a bitbit for the batch hehe), mak, ria

every batch7 member has a corresponding bitbit haha... and it was funny that we always walked and sat in pairs... always looking for the "partner" haha kulit!

highlights:
banana boat yell/fall - loko si manong... you have 2 options kse: manong could be harsh and make you hulog sa water or you could be pretty boring and kj and stay on the banana boat for the entire duration of the ride. since we had a foreigner on board, we chose the boring option. they said they wouldn't be responsible for any "misfortune" that might happen. it was a good thing manong lost control of the boat and we fell! woohoo! the best experience! the mere act of struggling to lift yourself up to the banana is super great talga! woohoo!!!

sugat galing - after a megazillion rants about my wound, woohoo! it's dry na! thanks to haring dagat. after the first sea swim, my then slightly basa pang wound started to look really nasty and gory and icky! i didn't mind. i just babad some more... but after a few more minutes, it looked really bad na and i had to go back to the room and clean it. just like magic, it dried up! woohoo! now, all that's left is a flaky pangit scar... hehe! cool!

cutie manong halo-halo and the sunset watch - for merienda, we had fishballs and halo-halo. and this halo-halo store owner was this pretty cool and cute guy haha! kakaaliw! after that, we just piled on the sand to watch the fascinating sunset... and the twinkling stars that just appeared out of nowhere after a few minutes=) great view =) made me breathless

semi-gimik - after dinner, postura ang mga girls! sus gimik attire! well, naka normal shirt lang ako haha... we just had a bottle of beer and headed back to the room na rin after a short stroll. i guess everybody was pretty tired na rin that night.

snorkel fever - woohoo! my first time to snorkel in deep waters! last year was mej corny sa bay lang kami ni win eh! although may corals naman din talga. =) the fishy scenes were very relaxing and amazing. natural high =) i didn't mind getting really cold and trembling hard in the water. the scenes were just fabulous. thank God for the wonders of the world! =)

swim galore- even if the sun's piercing through the melanins and melotonins (huh? ano raw? im bento! wala naman nun) of our skin haha! sige go!!! swim pa rin! =) to hell with skin cancer... i love my sun and i love my salty water!

the batch bracelet- there's this really nice dainty pearl bracelet that we each bought and we declared it the batch bracelet. it's really nice =) i wear it everyday! woohoo! i love you, girls!

the mystery of the anonymous bird- wala naman... i shouldn't be broadcasting this... hehe... i just like the title - the mystery of the anonymous bird. eeeewww!

training plus a lot more - hoping to see old friends

the first time i heard the news, i was like... hmmm... totoo ba yun? haha! no joke? well, it turned out na totoo nga hehe... we'll be sent to attend a one-month training in ohio (it took me a week to memorize the name of the training and i stuttered pa when i was asked during the interview. lousy!) and if everything will turn out well, we'll hit the road... hmmm... hit the air? hehe on april 2.

the interview was very interesting. hehe... scary! but mind you... the interviewing officer is really kind and young and cute. did i mention he's cute? hehe... he asked just a couple of rather personal questions that aren't really related with the training. it was really very brief. maybe because of the SPI-priority thingie...

well, we were approved. thank God.=) was it good luck? maybe the batch bracelet? or the wound? hehe. aaah... it's got to be the prayers =) salamat sa prayers... plus the SPI-priority thingie. hehe!

i told thecx, michie, tita marie, irish, (camille i hope you're reading this hehe) about it... well, if everything will push through, i MIGHT see them =). i hope to see you guys! =) tita marie's suggesting that i could probably head to new jersey during the last weekend and take my flight to manila from there. when was the last time i saw them? 7 yrs ago? omg! i hope i could see them all! =)

nice. sounds really good =). my warmest and best wishes for riche, raj, and baby z. you guys have definitely been through a lot but you've beaten all the odds and here you are right now. from the super stressful wedding preparations, i hope you could now breathe easily =) and prepare with grace for baby z's coming naman. i especially like what the priest said when you put off the candles of your "individuality" and set the "union" candle afire. and i hope it will burn forever - that no amount of personal differences and trials will ever toggle it to its "off-mode". you guys can make it. =)

the big day for the couple finally arrived and i've got a couple of recorded thoughts running in my head:

kulot - for something new, i had my hair curled (pareho kami ni liza)! naks... courtesy of aling nita, the good-natured parlorista. it felt really cool having locks on you hair haha! liza and i are considering having a perm! woohoo! joke lang. the dyahe thing is, since she couldn't offer home service yesterday, we had to go to her parlor and walk home! with make-up and curls and all! haha kita ng buong sambayanan! wushu. lech.

"you owe me big time!" - said kuya in his text message when he was "forced" to drive us to riche's home. well, we were already late for the 830 pictorial call time and we couldn't find a taxi. haha... we kinda got lost pa because of the re-routing thing going on in multi. well, i owe you 2 coffee treats na. one of these days. =) it was totally out of the way from his (and ma's) office but he dropped us off anyway. aaah... kuya really loves me =).

pictorial (the genuine thing) - we had a couple of poses in the bride's home. the photographer was this really funny guy whose favorite pose was the "lean-towards-the-bride" pose. hehe! syempre mega smile ang mga ate. haha! f na f ang pictorial. ya uh! with my kulots? why won't i smile? =)






pictorial (the fake thing) - we had a million and one poses using mauie's and liza's cams. hehe. ang barkadang mahilig sa pics. parang lahat ng barkada ko mahilig sa pics hehe.


wedding ceremony and the scary priest - and then came the wedding proper. well, i could tell that the priest was really into the solemnities of the sacrament so he really got cranky when he was distracted with certain things (like the funny photographer and the soft-voiced readers) annoyed him. haha! i understand him. i know he just wants the ceremony to be solemn - with a great couple like them? =) it has to be solemn =)

candle out of sync - hay... my partner and i didn't light the candle at the right moment. hehe no cue? but we managed to make singit before the veil haha! sumingit! =) kahit di kami tinawag, kebs! mega light the candle kami hehe =)

lost souls - on the way to the reception, mauie, marlon, liza, and i got lost! waaah! we weren't able to find our way despite around 10 phone calls for instructions. haha! it was really a road adventure. we just went around in circles: the building with bilog-bilog on top, vinta decor, american cemetery, mcdo, traffic light, jerry's, prince of jaipur, the road to edsa, a couple of road rules violations. haha! fun pa rin! =) after about an hour, we hit the jackpot! haha! we were so gutom na!

glitch - bakit ako ang nakakuha ng bouquet? another one of the glitches in the events of the universe... haha! inuuto ko pa sana si jops na kunin nya yung flower kahit na the music stopped na hehe... di nadaan sa smile ko. oh well, at least the guy who got the garter is "the" manuel quezon! hehe! how cool could it get!? hehe sikat ang partner hehe!




my fave line - was raj's "as my wife said, ..." during his speech. wow... that really sounded new but great =)

after the wound, este, the mini olympics hehehe, decided to give myself a little consolation by watching a movie. tumakas na lang kami ni ate maj hehe. she also had to go to a lakad and sumabay na ko pauwi sa kanya.

took a quick shower, quick lunch, nursed and gauzed my wound (hehe di talga mawala ang wound), and headed off to meet mike (na may office na pag saturday, bwahahahaha! :p). fave tagpuan: starbucks sa g4 hehe... ay di pala kme umabot dun. hehe. nagkita na sa escalator.

ok... hitch was good. for a moment, we were wondering if we were in the right cinema. hehe nalito. hmmm... mukang lalaki ang writer ng script nito. well, of course, lalaki ang bida. there was something so "manly" hehe about the movie. parang i was making a lot of "talaga lang ha?!" in my mind. it was really hilarious, though! very kulit and funny. the only part i didn't like (that much) was when girlash gave in to guy agad after the guy delivered a mushy line. yun lang? ok na? hehe pinatawad agad? hehe. but the story was really light and nice and not the usual plot. i like! a lot! =) hmmm... si mike, may niligaw na 2 girls na nagtanong kung saan yung aviator... hahaha! lagot ka! hahaha!

ok... merienda. madaya ako kse i don't suggest that much pag sa food... hehe i admit. sensya. well, i don't really have that much preference naman. i'd go for almost anything. and when with a group, i'm always the lead-me-i'll-follow type hehe. i should probably keep a small bottle with kainan names in them. when asked for suggestions on where to eat, hehe randomly bunot a place.. hehe ginawang lotto. well, semi-dinner ang merienda. we ate at kenny's (na lunch ko rin pala hehe)... the quarter chicken with rice, side dish, and muffin. and a half-consumed (hehe nega) choc mousse.

and then there was the half-mass at greenbelt. on the way there, we were almost dashing sa pedestrian lane kse mag go na. "o baka madapa!", he blurted. bwhahaha! fine! so lampa ako!?!? hehe homily na nga lang naabutan, we couldn't hear the sound pa. so it was merely a semi-chika moment eh. mental note: mass starts at 6pm, not 630. hehe.

and finally, coffee... na more chika-moment pa hehe. f na f namin ang pag-upo sa oh-so-comfy chair ng coffee bean & tea leaf (tama ba?). mahirap sumandal, ang liit ko kse hehe. passed on office tales, family tales, mukmoks, and why we always see celebrities when we go out. promise! hehe! always! =) saturday, well spent =). (except the wound)

the winning fall and spi mini olympics

the highlight of this post isn't really the olympics. it was fun, though. met a lot of new people from different units. well, there were at least 60 green team members but time was too short to get to know them all... they were really kind and fun to be with =). more acquaintances to brush elbows with and smile at when you walk the halls of spi. nice =)

and i thought being a part of the cheer dancers would be ebarrassing... it went by in a breeze, haha... konting kembot kembot at step step lang naman. ok na... besides, we were 13 in the group people probably didn't even notice me there. hehe! yahoo! actually, we won 2nd place pa nga for the cheer! cool, eh!? no sweat!

ok here's the ultimate source of sweat and embarrassment haha! i participated in the 4x50 relay. it works this way, 4 players per team. the 1st runner (holding baton) will make a 50-meter dash, pass on the baton to the next player, and to the next, and to the next. i was the second runner. the entire spi population saw me, why not broadcast the event in my blog? haha!

thoughts before the dash:

i've been through mega-zillion dashes way back HS and college physical fitness exams, fairly scored on them, so why not? hehe you'll JUST run, anyway!

oooh... the floor of the oval track looks like asphalt. it WOULD hurt if you fell on it. it could actually badly scrape your skin! shouldn't they be putting carpet on this thing? hehe.

and i shrieked... not the girly type of shriek.. more like a monstrous shriek! geezzzz! felt the rough floor scrape, grate sounds a better word, grate my left elbow and palms and right knee. pain pain pain

nevertheless, i had to stand up and run a little more and pass on the darned baton to the next one, ate maj. we were the 4th placer (out of 6 ito). thanks to me =) hehe

thoughts after the fall:

i could vaguely hear the mc making me okray. nag dive daw ako haha!

did somebody take my picture when i dived? sana... post ko sa blog hehehe!

bat ako nadapa? it's not like i joined the sack race, which is a prone-to-dapa game... takbo lang yun ah. =(

oh well, the byproduct? yun nga, a 2.5-inch wound. oozing, excruciatingly painful wound hehe kadiri. na dumidikit sa gauze after some time so super painful tanggaling. waaah! should i be putting something on it, like an ointment or antibiotic? waaah! betadine lang lagay ko eh. oh, i have a picture of the wound! wanna see? hehe! later.

funny, when we got back to the bleachers, my teammate's bag was on my seat and i accidentally brushed my oozing wound on his bag. buti di nakita... hehe mega wipe na lang ako hehe. sorry po =(

waaah! aabay pa ko sa tuesday eh! di nga umitim kse di natuloy puerto, nagkasugat naman sus! anova!

i'm torn. my super close friend has a gf. they've had their fair share of ups and downs, been on and off, but somehow worked around the odds and differences. now, they're together again. ok, huh... not so...

the catch is, my boy here is fooling around with another girl. and by fooling around, i don't mean HS pa-cute and flirting stuff. they're FOOLING AROUND! dig me? tried to talk him out of it... cmon! don't be unfair to the girls! been there and it didn't feel ok to be in their position.

do i tolerate the act because he's my friend? do i discreetly inform the gf? do i play hush hush and kebs and blind about it? 'cause it's none of my business anyway?

i dunno... i just feel for the gf, who's so clueless about it; who believes that the guy is so angel like and behaved hehe.. i'm not that close with the 2 girls but i sooo feel for them. bat ba kse di nakokontento. choose 1 for heaven's sake! wag lang sabay! karma yan, sige! =( masakit yun for the girl(s)... =(

dead tired...

badminton night with shobe, yongca (waaaah! yongca, don't leave us!), ate maj, and janice... i'm not that wriggly and squirmy and likot today... why? i had this stomach pain after lunch... parang kabag na 'di ko maintindihan.

so there i was, making speeches and sermons to maricor on why she should take in lots of water to ease her tummy discomfort. and now, it's my turn to feel the pain waaaah! remedy: i drank about 8 mugs of warm water... plus around 15 restroom trips. the pain's somehow gone na but medyo meron pa. di nga ko masyado nakalikot sa badminton eh... feel so tired.

abbie and fraulie and dencia are planning a date tom. oooh right! i wanna! let's go, girls! plus... had a good chat with thecx earlier. hay i miss those girls so much!

i'm dead tired but i do have a lot of plans for the coming weeks... =) something to look forward to:

mar 5: spi mini olympics... hehe let's go, team!
mar 6: spa with ma and meet with donna, maricor, harbs, and mama harriet (naks naki mama).
mar 8: yippeeeeee! riche's wedding =) must hold on to gown... hehe

muni moment

hay... i was alone when i had breakfast this morning (syemps morning. di naman pde mag breakfast kung night). jet's on leave, maricor's on leave. can't eat on the work area 'cause we're having the ISO fever thing. so i bought the usual corned beef pandesal, made timpla my nescafe choco fudge, headed off to the pantry... and thought... a lot. i could actually hear my voice in my head hehe.

not that it was a bad thing. i actually enjoyed it - having thought things over. and over and over... hehe!

i thought that though honesty is ALWAYS the best policy, a little lack of it won't hurt... some things are better left unsaid. but the COMPLETE absence of it... could wreck someone. argh... it sucks when it ends that way.

when you are NOT asked about something, i guess if you don't say certain things, it's ok. you don't commit any crime. you're not asked anyway so you're not supposed to answer. but you give the onlookers the license to assume certain things. well, not that spectators judge you... it's just that they have the right to formulate certain sequences and scenarios in their minds.

but when you are asked about something, you're supposed to give a straight-forward answer and tell the truth. you're not supposed to completely oppose the actual scenario... and make people believe that it's the case. right? when an answer is required, and it could affect others, you don't have the right to twist the events so it would look pleasing and all flowery and fragrant... not it if could devastate the lives of others... =)

guen and i were sharing some embarrassing yet fulfilling LCG experiences the other day. share ko rin with you... =)

it was a friday mass and friday masses are always preceded by the novena to sto. niño. i was assigned as the lector for the mass 'cause i'm not really familiar in leading the novena. worse, i have no idea how the opening song goes. ok petiks muna maaga pa... pre-read the readings. clock ticks, uh oh, mukang no-show ang reader ng novena. panic mode... i CAN'T lead the novena! i DON'T want to sing! waaaah!

can't just walk out though. walang nagawa, i led the novena. ok opening prayer... no sweat. went fine.

uh oh... here comes the song... what to do? what to do? alangan mag-imbento ako ng tono!

winning line: "awitin po natin ang awit kay sto. niño..." (?) sabay mega tungo ng ulo... taimtim daw... hehe duh.

and the manangs were all like "awit kay sto. niño daw..." ay clueless sina lola! waaah! and more whispers... "pano ba yung awit kay sto. niño?" sikuhan sina lola... 30 seconds pa of the most uncomfortable silence i've heard... or was that over a minute?

and my life saver was an elderly woman who deciphered the tone of the song... yahoo! ok. kanta na ang sambayanang pilipino. hehe... dummy me! funny thing is, i still don't know how the song goes hehe. dummy-est! waaah! red hot ears!!!

alam ko na what happened that day! at least, i have an idea. well, what else could it be but that! hehe... kse naman. 1 + 4 = 5 e! nde naman sya integral, differential, exponential something; where you have to really exhaust all your powers to deduce that. MDAS lang hehe. madali lang pala ang sagot. and i thought it was something really complicated. next time, by default, yun na yun! haha! next time i see something similar to that, assume that the answer to the puzzle is yes. in fact, i don't have to ask. yes agad. initialize it to "yes". lahat yun, "yes". hehe... simple, less complications, less stress. =) happy.

hehe... for the first time in years, i got really annoyed over someone. yung uminit ba ang ulo. a constant annoyer talga yun... is he doing that in purpose? well, he's doing a great job. di lang kasi sakin e. kahit sa iba ganun na rin sya. mga hirit ba na... kakaiba. nakakairita talga. iba mag-isip! at first i was trying my best to sound casual and ok about it but medyo dry na rin ang dating kse medyo bad trip na nga. dagdagan mo pa ng biglang-pagsakit ng ulo... argh. i don't know if he's really into goodwill or he just finds fulfillment in annoying the people around him. tipong mag-hi lang sya sayo, di pedeng di ka mairita sa kanya. you're marring my sunny state! waaah!

e ano ba naman ang ginagawa ko pag na-irita ako nang todo? edi wala. at first, sige entertain the annoying existence... blah blah blah... mambara nang konti... ay nung himirit pa ng kung anu-ano, ay! naningkit ang mata ko! di na talga kinaya ng tried and tested patience ko! dineadmatters ko na! kala mo kung ano ginawa deadma lang pala... sus... edi tumahimik sya =) di mo naman binabasa to no? hehe... napa-isip... oo hindi mo nga alam to. =) kaya di mo to nababasa.

on i love yous

ok... i've worked on it. after a couple of days of gut-conditioning (what the?), i finally mustered enough courage to send my i love yous. lousy pa nga medyo kse di personal e. text message lang. but that's good enough for someone who's so "expressive" to family members... hehehe...

it was a mere "i love you so much, [ma | kuya | win]! ingat!" well, i elicited interesting responses:

ma - mega call! haha! tawag agad sa office... kunyari kinumusta how my fix-PAG-IBIG-doc-trip was, laughed shyly, and said "i love you too"... ahhh naluha ako waaaah!

kuya - ay dudero ever... i should start calling him mr. dudero.... mr. praningo... hehe cute. sent me a message "lov you mor... Hmmm waddup?" haha! ano ba? and i replied: "batet? masama ba mag sbi i love you? tipong sinasabi lang pag may kasalanan? hehe. nothing's up. hehe just wana let you guys knw. =)"

win - NR... hehe very winish... lokong bata talga un! hehe!

oh well, it felt good. haha naluluha ako... oa. i should do that more often. =) next time, hug naman... aww... mas mahirap un waaah! but do-able (do-able? duh) hehe =)
